We are buying a Wii for my son for Christmas and would like to get some extras for it but like most people this year, we are trying to be thrifty as well…Ive seen generic accessories that say they are compatible and are priced super cheap but Im wondering if they really work as well as the real Wii accessories…like a golf club, baseball bat, steering wheel, etc.
Thanks for your help!
No need to be snobby…Im clueless when it comes to new technology. Im still a Super Nintendo junkie and we own a PS2 but the only thing I play on that is Rock Band…so I really dont know how any of this new stuff works, especially the Wii.
From my experience (gaming for 10 years) 3rd party controllers, batteries, and chargers are never really as durable as their name-brand counterparts. If you do go with something generic, please,do yourself a favor and stay away from MadCatz. I’ve never had anything but problems with that brand, and will never buy it again. Also, all those add ons, like the bat, tennis racket etc. don’t do too awful much to add to the gameplay. Sometimes they even interfere with the signal. My advice is to invest that money in extra (up to 4 total) Wii remotes with nunchuck attachments and Wii Motion+.
Oh yeah, don’t forget to buy rechargeable batteries or you’ll be buying tons of batteries! We bought 2 packs of Energizer AA batteries last year and they still work great and probably have saved us more than $100 on batteries.
